The Wellesley Free Library is at 530 Washington St. (Route 16), just to the east of Wellesley center.

 

The library has a free underground parking garage and is a short walking distance from the Framingham/ Worcester Commuter Rail Line stop at Wellesley Square. Weekday commuter rail train schedule has arrivals from inbound and outbound trains at around 9:30 a.m.

 

Driving Directions

From Rt. 128 North and South: Take Route 128, to Exit 20B (Route 9 West). Merge onto MA-9 W/Worcester St toward Framingham/Worcester. At intersection with Cliff Road, turn left. Turn right onto Washington Street (Route 16). The Library will be on the left. The library has a free underground parking garage.

 

From the East (via Route 9): Take off ramp to Route 16. At intersection with Route 16 (Washington Street), take a left. The Library will be on the left. The library has a free underground parking garage.

 

From the East (via the MassPike): Proceed on Mass Pike West to the Route 16 exit to West Newton/Wellesley. Merge onto Route 16 West. The Library will be on the left. The library has a free underground parking garage.

 

From the West (via the Mass Pike): Take the MassPike East to Exit 13 heading toward Natick. Take a right onto Speen Street. Merge onto Route 9 East. Take Weston Road exit and turn right onto Weston Road. Take a left onto Central Street (Route 135). The library will be on your right. The library has a free underground parking garage.

 

Public Transportation Directions:

The MBTA’s Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line stops at Wellesley Square (1 Grove St., Wellesley, MA 02482). The Commuter Rail station is a 6-minute walk from the Library. From the railroad platform, take the stairs up and turn left onto Crest Road. Walk to the end of Crest Road toward Central Street (Route 135) and turn left at Peet’s Coffee onto Central Street. Continue straight onto Washington Street. The library will be on your right.

 

The Green Line’s D Branch stops at Woodland in Newton, where there is a connection with the MWRTA’s bus Route 8.
