At this meeting, the MPO is scheduled to hear presentations from local officials on transportation issues in Norwood and the Three Rivers Interlocal Council subregion. MPO members will discuss and take action on a proposed scope of work for an upcoming planning study, and the results of a study that was recently completed will be presented by MPO staff.

o FROM THE NORTH AND EAST: Take I-95/Route 128 to Exit 15B for
Route 1/Boston Providence Highway. Continue south on Route 1 for
approximately 2.9 miles to the Nahatan Street rotary. Take the first right out
of the rotary onto Nahatan Street heading west. Continue approximately 0.8
miles to the Civic Center (on the right side of the road) at 165 Nahatan Street.
o FROM THE SOUTH: Take Route 1/Boston Providence Highway north to the
Nahatan Street rotary in Norwood. Take the third right out of the rotary onto
Nahatan Street heading west. Continue approximately 0.8 miles to the Civic
Center (on the right side of the road) at 165 Nahatan Street.
o FROM THE WEST: Take Route 109 east towards Westwood. In Westwood,
take the first right after the intersection with Pond Street onto Nahatan Street.
Continue south on Nahatan Street for approximately 2.2 miles. The Civic Center
will be on the left, just after the intersection with Washington Street/Route 1A.
o PARKING: Car parking is available in the lot across the street from the
Civic Center or on Nahatan Street. Bicycle racks are available in front of
the building.
o MBTA Bus Route 34E (Walpole Center or Dedham Line - Forest Hills Sta.
via Washington St.): Take the bus to the stop at Washington Street and Cottage Street in Norwood. Walk north on Washington Street to the intersection with Nahatan Street and turn right. The Civic Center will be on the left (approximately 0.1 miles: a 5-minute walk).
o Franklin commuter rail line: Take the train to the Norwood Depot stop. Walk west on Railroad Avenue towards Washington St. Turn left onto Central St., and then left onto Nahatan Street. The Civic Center will be on the left (approximately 0.3 miles: a 5- to 10-minute walk).
