The MPO is scheduled to hear presentations by Framingham officials on transportation issues in Framingham and the MetroWest Regional Collaborative, and reports from others on transportation studies and activities in the area. Members are also scheduled to discuss and take action on the federal fiscal year 2014 work scope for the MPO’s Long-Range Transportation Plan. From Route 135: Drive northbound onto Winter Street. Travel 0.2 miles; then turn right at Joseph P. Keefe Technical School (brick marquee). Take immediate left and proceed between two small stone pillars. Sign reads “Academy Building.” Follow roadway to one-story brick building.
From Route 9 East: Travel eastbound on Route 9 from Southborough border. Turn right onto Winter Street (about 2.3 miles from Technology Park/Route 9/I-90). Travel on Winter Street southbound about 1.6 miles. Turn left at Joseph P. Keefe Technical School (brick marquee). Take immediate left and proceed between two small stone pillars. Sign reads “Academy Building.” Follow roadway to one-story brick building.
From Route 9 West: Travel westbound on Route 9 from the merge point of Cochituate Road/Route 30 and Route 9 for about 1 mile. Keep right at fork to go on Worcester Road/Route 30 westbound. Travel 0.3 miles; then turn left onto Route 30/Edgell Road (in front of Framingham State College). Turn right onto High Street, which becomes Salem End Road. In about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Winter Street. Travel 1.4 miles; then turn left at Joseph P. Keefe Technical School (brick marquee). Take immediate left and proceed between two small stone pillars. Sign reads “Academy Building.” Follow roadway to one-story brick building.
From Edgell Road/Framingham Centre: Follow Edgell Road southbound; it becomes Route 30/Main Street. Go over Route 9 and turn right past Framingham State University onto High Street, which becomes Salem End Road. In about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Winter Street. Travel 1.4 miles; then turn left at Joseph P. Keefe Technical School (brick marquee). Take immediate left and proceed between two small stone pillars. Sign reads “Academy Building.” Follow roadway to one-story brick building.
Car parking is available directly in front of the Academy Building.
Bus Route: Take any MWRTA bus to Framingham commuter rail station. Free shuttle service on a special designated bus will be available from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM between the Framingham commuter rail station and the Academy Building at Cushing Memorial Park.
Commuter Rail: Take the Framingham/Worcester Line to Framingham. From Boston, take the 9:05 AM (P509) train. From Worcester, take the 8:30 AM (P516) train. Board the free shuttle service on the MWRTA bus to the Academy Building. After the meeting, from Framingham Station, take the 1:01 PM (P520) train to South Station or the 1:15 PM (P513) train to Worcester.
