Mystic River Watershed Association

Chair or Vice Chair

The Mystic River Watershed Association works with thousands of community members in New England's most densely populated municipalities to protect the environment, advance transit equity, and build climate resilience. We are committed to empowering community members of all ages and abilities, believing they possess the solutions for enhancing their lived experiences. As a chairperson for the Advisory Council, I would look forward to amplifying our collective voice on the MPO Board and ensuring a regional perspective towards the development of a more equitable transportation system.

TransitMatters

Chair or Vice Chair

TransitMatters is pleased to submit ourselves for your consideration for Chair/Vice Chair of the MPO Community Advisory Council. TransitMatters is a data-driven and people-focused organization, and we believe we are uniquely positioned to act as an intermediary between the MPO and broader community that it serves. As a

region-wide organization, we are well-experienced at weaving together the needs and interests of wide-ranging constituencies; as a transit-first organization, we have always been committed to the idea that transit is vital to all areas of society, from housing to social services, from employment to the environment — in all areas, transit matters. As Chair/Vice-Chair, we hope to foster healthy debate, build consensus, and provide an active voice on the MPO Board for the Community Advisory Council, and for the communities we all represent.

MassBike

Chair or Vice Chair

To help elevate the voices of people riding bicycles, rely on accessibility devices, or are otherwise rolling as vulnerable users on our road network, MassBike engages as a connector for local advocates and regional / state resources to move toward a more just, equitable, healthy, and sustainable transportation future. Our role with the Community Advisory Council will be to help facilitate a conversation with other board members to make sure community input is incorporated in directing the MPO.
