As the Mayor of Everett, a City undergoing unprecedented growth and opportunity, I aim to bring our breadth of knowledge and experience in improving local and regional mobility to the board of the Boston Region MPO.
The transportation needs of our City are in many ways a microcosm of the region as a whole. Whether it be improving the mobility of over 50,000 existing residents in our historic neighborhoods or partnering with our regional and state partners to build the roadways and transit infrastructure that will support over 100 acres of new mixed use development, I believe we have a unique perspective that can help serve the goals not only of our City, but of the entire Boston region. We have become adept in balancing the investments that improve the daily lives of our residents, with investments that will provide new growth and economic opportunity. We have been champions of multimodal projects ranging from bus lanes to bike paths with the goal of connecting our community with our neighbors and supporting transportation equity for All.
The City of Everett has served on the MPO for over 10 years, supporting federal transportation investments across the region. I would be honored to continue that work.
