The study area corridor comprises Route 127A in Gloucester and Rockport, Route 127 from Route 127A in Rockport to Grant Circle on Route 128 in Gloucester, and major roadways in downtown Rockport. This study identified and analyzed a number of safety, mobility, and access problems of various modes, including walking and bicycling, and proposed improvements for the entire corridor and at specific locations. Together, the proposed improvements provide a blueprint for the corridor to operate safely, efficiently, and sufficiently for all users of different transportation modes.
